Hi there, I'm Ashe.
Ashe de la June

After many years in IT tech support and web dev, I unexpectedly ventured onto a new path. Now I'm in my thirties and have a double degree in Earth Sciences! I am raising fowl, a goat, a horse, four cats and a husband. I spend my free time in the garden and with my animals. Currently, my long-suffering husband and I sleep with one of our cats in the bedroom with a young pullet in a cat cage on a shelf who refuses to sleep with the other chickens! It strangely works out. My husband is an aspiring author writer and often blogs a story about our lives on the farm etc.

I am passionate about chickens, cats, web design, blogging, Pinterest, sprouting seeds, taking cuttings and other gardening, trialling make-up and hair products, baking, writing stories, spinal disabilities, making things and offering all kinds of advice to people.

Being one who loves to read, TaintedBlood.org is an old URL I purchased in 2002, inspired by the Margaret Weis science fiction fantasy Star of Guardians series of novels. Jazhiaran and Ashe are the names of rpg characters I created in the 90s inspired by the Raymond E. Feist fantasy novels following Pug the magician.

Racism of a different colour Tasmania - the inequality against the citizens

After learning a lot more about Obama's administration, I am no longer a fan of him. It has nothing to do with religion, race or sex. I asked on Twitter why the Texans so hate Obama. And it appears the reason is only barely attached to his Muslim upbringing and his skin colour.  Now, I'm not racist - I'm for every skin colour. I have great friends who are of every colour and religion. So, don't be pointing that Racism Bandwagon finger at me.

This, then, leads me into the post this conversation I just had about Obama's situation on immigration and bleeding money internationally, instead of fixing the internal problems. All great nations fall. Look at Rome. And if Obama is not careful - his great country is also going to fall.

I am not a particularly liked person in the world of online, nor real life. RL I don't get, I'm rather quiet. But online it has to do with the fact I have made so many indications about the inequality issues surrounding Australians vs refugees - they get much more than us. The aboriginal nation has the right to get the services that the refugees are getting - but they get a poor shadow of what the refugees have and if you think this way, you are racist. Every comment I make about this inequality is pointed at as being racist. But I am a thinker, and know there's no use hiding my head under the sand when it comes to realistic issues. Thus, why I always bring up the Racism Bandwagon. People who don't want to understand a point of view get their picks and hoes out and take to a Realist, pointing racism and shouting in unison "kill the moll".

People not living in this small State have no right to point a finger at someone for stating the truth.  Ten years ago, it was hard enough to find employment in Tasmania. Now? With priority schooling and employment being given to refugees, the average and long-standing Tasmanian citizen who grew up in Tasmania - be it white, Asian, Aboriginal or another race, has barely any hope of finding a job. :-(  It'd be great to be able to take the refugees in; but Tasmanians are suffering! We don't have the resources to cope with the influx. Tasmanian Government, why can't you understand that? Oh, it's your massive pay rise keeping you from understanding the true deep-rooted issues around employment in Tasmania, isn't it.

Our crime rates are right up, too. Why is that you may ask? Because Tasmania does have a large bogan population - and without the ability to get into educational programmes due to the priority education given the /wealthy/ refugees (I said it. I know someone "who knows"), and then being unable to find employment, because all of the skilled workers are flipping burgers at McDonalds, or working behind the cashier at Coles are reducing the possibility of those lower-class citizens getting jobs.

And don't get me started on what I know about the heightened coke and heroin trade in Tasmania since the refugee influx began.

I haven't even commented on "what I know" about the free houses, cars, phones, clothes, Amex Black (bottomless), bikes, toys, etc., "I know" these Sudanese refugees are being given just as they hop /off the plane at the Tasmanian International Airport." Yes that's right - they are refugees who can afford to fly to Tasmania from Sudan. Refugees in need, my fat arse.

Comment away. I likely won't read the comments, because a) you'll be Racism Bandwagon people shoving pitch-forks up my backside; b) you don't live in Tasmania, so you don't know what is going on; c) you need to fit in with the majority, so being a Racism Bandwagon farmer is your best way of doing so.
