Hi there, I'm Ashe.
Ashe de la June

After many years in IT tech support and web dev, I unexpectedly ventured onto a new path. Now I'm in my thirties and have a double degree in Earth Sciences! I am raising fowl, a goat, a horse, four cats and a husband. I spend my free time in the garden and with my animals. Currently, my long-suffering husband and I sleep with one of our cats in the bedroom with a young pullet in a cat cage on a shelf who refuses to sleep with the other chickens! It strangely works out. My husband is an aspiring author writer and often blogs a story about our lives on the farm etc.

I am passionate about chickens, cats, web design, blogging, Pinterest, sprouting seeds, taking cuttings and other gardening, trialling make-up and hair products, baking, writing stories, spinal disabilities, making things and offering all kinds of advice to people.

Being one who loves to read, TaintedBlood.org is an old URL I purchased in 2002, inspired by the Margaret Weis science fiction fantasy Star of Guardians series of novels. Jazhiaran and Ashe are the names of rpg characters I created in the 90s inspired by the Raymond E. Feist fantasy novels following Pug the magician.

Cattins: daily

Oh, dear. There are splashes of wet cat food and water everywhere on my bedside table. On the wall, on the phone hand-set, on the table itself, on the lamp base... hehehe Explanation?: C doesn't eat his wet food immediately, so I place it beside my bed at night because he will eat it in the middle of the night. He needs wet food with added water as he won't drink water from any source including the expensive cat fountain, but needs water due to FLUTD cystitis problems: he finds it hard to urinate. Since L has a bad reaction to C's food, yet will eat his food if it is left around, I have to keep a close eye on it. Anyway, C eats rather daintily compared to L, and laps at his food delicately then tries to "cover it over" by scraping at the wall, tissue boxes, etc. He tends to leave little droplets of meat and water on the wall etc. Sometimes he tries so diligently to bury his food that in the middle of the night he scrapes the food onto the floor... which I hear the "thud" of it dropping onto my floor and have to then get up and clean up. haha Needless to say, I'm always spending time cleaning up the splashes of food on my items. Right now, the wall and my phone are the places that need to be cleaned.
