Hi there, I'm Ashe.
Ashe de la June

After many years in IT tech support and web dev, I unexpectedly ventured onto a new path. Now I'm in my thirties and have a double degree in Earth Sciences! I am raising fowl, a goat, a horse, four cats and a husband. I spend my free time in the garden and with my animals. Currently, my long-suffering husband and I sleep with one of our cats in the bedroom with a young pullet in a cat cage on a shelf who refuses to sleep with the other chickens! It strangely works out. My husband is an aspiring author writer and often blogs a story about our lives on the farm etc.

I am passionate about chickens, cats, web design, blogging, Pinterest, sprouting seeds, taking cuttings and other gardening, trialling make-up and hair products, baking, writing stories, spinal disabilities, making things and offering all kinds of advice to people.

Being one who loves to read, TaintedBlood.org is an old URL I purchased in 2002, inspired by the Margaret Weis science fiction fantasy Star of Guardians series of novels. Jazhiaran and Ashe are the names of rpg characters I created in the 90s inspired by the Raymond E. Feist fantasy novels following Pug the magician.

On the roaddddd again, just (couldn't) wait to get on the road again!

Couldn't hate my hair more right now. It took me nearly 1.5 hours to simply part my hair vertically then horizontally. I WISH I was over exaggerating. I have the type of hair that as soon as you try and use a metal skewer tool to glide through hair to find a part, it fluffs up and knots "as if I've just /teased/ the living coprolites out of it". So, not only does it make it almost possible for me to find a part, but every time I fail I have to brush my hair once again with the Tangle Teezer before I can try again.
Made worse as I already have a bad arm where I completely shattered my right shoulder in a motorcycle accident and needed two long reconstructive surgeries. My right shoulder is now prone to 'frozen shoulder', and it tires quickly doing anything. So, you can imagine the frustration I felt having to repart my hair over,over,over..etc., again. My back, which has three torn discs from that same accident is also hurting more than usual our of standing strain (I needed to see back of head from cupboard mirrors and the full length mirror on the wall just behind me (my bathroom is camper van sized. Just a shower and a metre by half a metre of in the room, not counting the shower).

So, anyway, I eventually got it not-so-zigzagged, although an actual horizontal part would have been grand.
What was i doing? I've just used hair colour remover, and am now processing it. I hope it works. My new hair colour creation depends on it! I will post photos.

You're the only ones who know I'm on the colour-move again ;)
